Webcasting a live event can be a complicated process, requiring multiple elements functioning in cohesion. Cameras, encoding hardware, satellite trucks and streaming servers all need to be working together to create a successful webcast. vChange has expertise in video production and streaming media to enable this to happen. There are two scenarios for the typical webcast.
With on-site encoding the encoding of the video occurs at the shooting location. This encoded video stream is then sent via the internet to the streaming servers at our data center. From these servers, the video is then webcast to audiences around the globe.
With off-site encoding, the encoding of video occurs remotely. The video feed from the shoot location is sent via satellite to our data center, where it is encoded, and then sent to our streaming servers to be webcast.
NEAR-LIVE WEBCASTING
If Internet or satellite connectivity is not an option, vChange recommends a near-live webcast as a viable alternative. With a “delay” as short as one hour, a near-live webcast may better suit your webcasting goals. Priced by event, please contact us for more details.

This webcast was distrubuted nationwide to 21st's various offices. vChange provided consulting services prior to the event date, helping prepare 21st's servers and networking infrastructure for the webcast. On the day of the event, vChange provided on-site video encoding.
